Multimedia:
It's no secret that magazine publishers have been having a hard couple of years. To me the upcoming iSlate, or whatever it's going to be called is going to revolutionize "magazine" publishing.
Once again, older print-based communications models are giving way to rich media.
I'm predicting this will create a surge for multimedia producers, which is excellent news for jobs in my industry. For people who work in multimedia, the challenge will be figuring out how to create and deliver multimedia quickly and inexpensively.
Just as there's been a cottage industry in e-learning training and development called rapid e-Learning, I think we can look forward to a parallel called something like rapid rich media.
I'm there. Maybe I should write the book... err, create the videos...
